I earned a Bachelor of Arts in Communications from the University of North Carolina at Chapel Hill in 1994. Shortly after graduation, I joined a documentary team focused on capturing the impact of alcohol on small Native American villages throughout Alaska—a formative experience that deepened my understanding of culture, community, and storytelling.
In 1997, I returned to school to pursue my passion for design, earning a Master of Architecture from the University of North Carolina at Charlotte in 2000. I began my architectural career at Narmour Wright Architecture, where I was named Director of Design Development in 2005.
In 2007, I co-founded Studio Fusion with three partners. Over the next 17 years, we had the privilege of working on a wide range of meaningful projects with exceptional clients and collaborators. While Studio Fusion enjoyed a successful and fulfilling run, my partners and I eventually reached a point in our careers where we chose to scale back the firm’s operations and explore other personal and professional interests. For me, that meant returning to what has always driven my passion for architecture—the creative process, design exploration, and the pursuit of thoughtful, impactful work.
